Would knowing the cam timing figures of a std MPi be any good to you?

When you take the figures, can you repeat for the siamesed cylinders - IE 1&2 or 3&4.

One theory on the MPi is that the inlet lobe is advanced on the inner cylinders and retarded on the outer cylinders - basically reducing the overlap between the two valves being open at the same time (which share the same inlet port).

This would be VERY good information to know... *wink*

Although from what i've heard of MPi's, the cams may well be shagged. Then again, it's usually only the peak of the lobes that gets damaged - not the start ramp *happy*

This engine is in very good nick... the rocker pads look used but you can't feel the wear...

So hopefully its not worn out.

I was planning to get the timing figures for ALL the lobes, just so as not to mis anything.
