Just looking through mini speeds advert in this months mini world and I noticed that they do a Turbo oil drain for £15. This is something I have often wondered has any one ever had any issue with the standard metro turbo one leaking, as by the sound of it the mini speed on is some type of aeroquipe fixing. If it is of the aeroquipe type is it worth buying? (Bearing in mind the one on my turbo donor is at least 15 years old)

Blimey, you live in Crewe. Im here right now (well most days infact)

As for the return pipe, I have had problems with mine but it's a much tighter fit on a 998 block.

Not sure what the Minispeed thing is, but Avonbar sell the high temp little hose that joins the turbo and block if you need a new one.

this is my daily hack if you've ever seen it in Crewe

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the original oil pipe usually gives no trouble!
like you say they are now a little old now & it may be prudent to fit a new one.

some peeps swap to the braded quip one if they are fitting a T2 turbo. as the standard T3 pipe sometimes does not fit on these kind of set up.

apart from that its, for the "Bling" factor IMHO

I changed to a braided oil feed pipe as I had the standard one crack on me in the past.

My oil drain is into a pipe welded into the gearbox casing.
