For my 200th post a question from me!

Look at this pic...

The connection to the centre of the manifold is part of the emmisions gear... I assumed it was to conenct to the brake servo, as the upright bit that screws into the manifold is a oneway valve....

Where do you run your servo from?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Dont run a servo, takes up too much space.

Stopping the van takes a strong leg, my excuse for not going to the gym! lol!

Torque steer builds up your arms so i can say i have a work-out just driving to work.

Thought that take-off was purely for the breather system and servo. Didnt realise it had anything to do with emissions.

On my yellow one i just blocked that bit off.

Think the servo was attached to the union underneath that centre take-off.

Could be talking rubbish, ill take some more photos of mine tonight with a lot more detail. *happy*

Can't comment on the servo take off as i'm running un-servoed 's' discs, but the one way valve is to allow the oil mist from the engine to enter the manifold at idle only, once there is positive pressure it closes, where its only other alternative would be through the air inlet upstream of the turbo.

Its usually the reason why the insides of intercooler pipes etc are covered with a layer of oil. When I put my engine all together I think I will have individual filters for the engine breathers to save putting the oil mist back into the engine etc

That looks like a very tidy engine bay!!!

the banjo bolt which screws into the manifold for the servo pipe has a hole in it to screw the one way valve in or fit a servo bolt without a hole in and run the little air filter type breathers in stead of the standard one

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
