I want to rebush my rear radius arms, has anyone ever done this job? Is it a bitch of a job?

Does anyone have a reamer, or know where I can get one from?

Cheers

Jim

You're supposed to do it 'in line' with the bearing. Personally - i just used an adjustable reamer, and it worked fine.

As regards a 'bitch of a job' Not overly - but those re-con radius arms you can get for £45 each - all nicely cleaned and painted seem like good value IMO.

going for reccon arms is not really an option, as I've got KAD arms, can't afford new ones.

we'll the guy getting the exchange on some recons would be a happy chappy LOL!

If you have access to a lathe you can do a bit of fudge and machine the old shaft so u can attach the adjustable reamer to it. This allows you to use the shaft as a guide lining the bush up with the roller and saving yourself £200 for the proper tool. Only problem is it'd have to be insanely accurate to be worth it, I’d imagine it would be hard to do accurately enough myself, but apparently its been done before with success.

I've done it before, just get the arm in a vice and get a mate to "spot" you square, and ream it out. Worked fine, car tracked up all OK on std subby afterwards.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Spotted this for you buddy...

at £25 a side including the bits it sounds like a deal really. with them doing it "off car" then you dont even have to travel except to the PO.

Silly question I know, but have you asked KAD how much they charge to re-con their arms?
