i was going up the road, it was raining. i got round the first bend fine (it goes from a 50 to a 30. the second bend tightens up as you can see and thats were the car just aquaplaned straight on and head on into an astra coming the other way. i am ok, my shoulder hurt a lot the day after but feels ok now. my finger hurts more but think i will be fine. i got out straight away and went to see the guy in the astra he said he was ok tho complained about his knees a little later on. the police and ambulance came blah blah blah nothign else to say really.
what is really not fair tho is that becouse i am 1 i get branded straigh away with i was speeding and driving wrecklessly and i wasent i do thrash the nova everywere but not my mums car i was driving steady, saving fuel cos it was on the red lol. no matter how much i swear till i am bluein the face no one will beleive me i wasent racing, i will openly admit i might have been doing 35 on that corner, and hit it a bit too close so when i turned were it tightens up it understeered, going straight on cue me paniking and braking (not making a little bit of difference) and into the astra. i blame the tryes becouse they are verry poor remoulds that are sh!te in the wet (tho i was not expecting that bad) anyway the copper said he is reporting me for driving without due care and attention, i think the car should have got round the corner at 30-35 (if it was any faster i dont think we would have both walked away tho the cars are a mess) he did not chalk the cars or take any pictures or anything he sent another cop out to draw were the cars were in the road etc (and he came back and said its th ebest i can do nthe pens running out and it has rain drops on it!) wich i thought was verry unprifesional and i wont be happy if there is a lack of evidence to show that i wasent speeding!
thats all for now i dont expect you to beleive i was behaving myself but if you do then wuhoo only the courts to perswade then. does anyone know what penalties driving without due care and attention carries?

Glad you're ok, but I am sorry to say that you can't really blame anything else but yourself.

It is called driving within the capabilities of the car, with the road conditions at the time. Whether you were speeding or not, felt you were being careful or whatever, whatever the tyres were, whatever the weather, at the end of the day you were beyond the capabilities of that car, and that corner.

Not meaning to sound condescending, I have been there and done it myself in my younger days.

But, learn a lesson and those, along with the fact no-one is hurt, are the main things.

Also, the coppers seem to be taking this stance of prosecuting at accidents more and more. A good friend of mine about 6 months ago, did the classic- run in the back of someone, who went to pull out of a junction and then stopped, while he was looking down for oncoming traffic himself, he looked up, car stopped, crunch.
My mate, being the kind of guy he is, made sure everyone was OK, and then arranged for both damaged cars to be transported back to their respective owners houses. At the time the woman was a bit shook up but otherwise OK. Since then, the police are trying to do him for without due care and attention?! Common accident that happens often.

i agree 100% with what you say tom thats why i got out of the car and told the guy it was my fault!
but then realized i dont think i actually did anything wrong, i dont feel so ayway i so badyl want to drive the corner again and see were i really did go wrong so at least i can understand. if i was really trying and lost it i would feel better becouse i deserved it, but i wasent so i find it hard to take (but if i was really trying i would certanly not have walked away from it) but i was being a good boy at the time lol and that happens, maybee if i was trying to move quickly i would have been able to react quicker and do something rather than what whys it done that shock horror sort of thing do you understand at all? lol
