This car has been turbo'd for a while now but this is the current state of progress with the refit. It has had:-
New inner wings, heelboard, complete floorpan, bootfloor, rear quarters, mk1 conversion panels, rear panel, new step sills, and will have new rear bulkhead and parcel shelf before I finish.
I will also be fitting a full weld in cage. Both rear arches have been tubed to accomodate my 13x8.5 inch split rims. I know what everyone will say, that they will be crap for acceleration and handling, but I think they look the muts nuts!!!

Looks a very thorough rebuild.

I'd be checking wheel bearings very often when you start driving it though as those wheels will be very hard on the bearings. Also make sure the rear bearings are the later taper roller type (stronger) and not the ball type.

Yes it is a pedestrian friendly roll cage! Not sure what bearings are on the back, I havn't checked actually. Its only gonna be a trackday/sprint car and the occasional road outing so the milage should be pretty low.
Cheers for the comments

can you pm me more details of how you did the full floor pan please? i want to do my van and im going to put one of the complete florrs (inc heelboard) in, it also needs the bottom 3" of the side panels doing, and i see that you have done your side panels too.

did you brace it up as seen, replace side panels then do the floor?

To be honest it has been a bit of a nightmare because as I replaced one panel I uncovered rot on another. I initially replaced the inner wings and lined them up the existing floor. Then I replaced the step panels each side. I welded in the bracing and put the cross bars across. I used 4 axle stands to stand the shell on and then replaced the heelboard. Then I cut out the floor and assembled the new one ie welded the rear subframe panel to the floor panel and then welded it into place.
I then replaced the rear quarters and then the rear panel.
In hinesight I would not have repaired the shell and would have just reshelled the car but by the time I had made that decision I had already spent a fortune on panels and put in loads of work.
My tip for doing this type of work is use genuine panels as the fit is usually spot on and repro ones usually are miles off.
