hi there my mini loving buddies. is it possible to get the waste gate chattering on a turbo mini, if so wot do u have to do. cheers. ben

go to www.photobucket.com,,,,,register there and bobs ya uncle you upload pics from ya comp onto their site then highlight the pathname given to it and post it into your thread voila.....as for the chattering....i am normally wrong, but i thought it was a chatter type dump valve you got to make the sound ?

cum on then wolfie how do u get it to chatter, as i belive its not a dumpvalve. its air escaping through the waste gate.

thought it was something along those lines. its instead of the pressure escaping through the dumpvalve it goes through the waste gate n makes a buggie like chirp, take it u have to run a fair boost for it aswell?

shud be allrite then as im going to run it at 4-6psi then on a switch at about 12ish cheers, im even more inspirred now. hopefully il put some pictures of my mini on here later.

mine used to chirp when i had my air filter directly on the turbo inlet as i believe its the noise of the air coming back out of the filter. With a dump valve you release this air so no chirp. But moving me air filter to the front of the engine bay got rid of the chirp :( -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

Yeah just run with no dump valve and plenty of boost! have a freind running a r5 at 25psi and that sounds lovely. |
