This was the HD from my PC. When WinME went titsup, I bought a new HD, installed XP and all is good. Better than that infact; XP is really good!

Anyways - I now need to set my old HD as a slave; so i have access to my past folders (my 'backup' discs seem to have gone walkies in the move to the USA).

So - I've made it easy for you and put letters on there. It's still set to what i assume is 'master' as this is how it always was. Which should i change it to?

Park I belive is the same as slave...

So then would C logically be park?

If no one else knows - maybe you could dissconnect your new hard drive, put this one back in and see where your bios shows it at. Set the jumper to "park" and see if the bios see's it as a slave drive. If it does jobs a goodun

Did some quick hunting, i belive your "fireball plus" hard drive is made by quantom.

I found a web page that confirmed that park is slave and out of your 8 pins "C" is the correct for park
