How easy is it to operate these mini diggers and excavaters that can be hired?

not to hard mate, but if you can often get one for hire with driver for the same price as one without. Although good fun, the pro's are really quick.

Piece of pizz!!!

I learnt to operate one before i left school. Give yourself 1hr to learn, and the next hour after that to 'go slow'. After that - full speed.

Not very sunny swanage

easy to use, but takes a bit of practice (weeks not hours) before you can do it well without even thinking about it. anybody than has enough coordination to drive a car should be able to use one perfectly adaquately tho...

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I'm hiring one of these at some point soon to dig out my drive for block paving. should be a laugh!! *happy*
Get my from jacksons since its round the corner, literally! plus hopefully i can swing a trade discount.
I'm going for the one thats less than a metre wide so i can get it down the side of the house and dig a shed base and some conifer routes out.

I need to dig out a fairly large soakaway and level off the whole back garden.

Having dug the garage base by hand, levelling the garden was a job I wasn't looking forward to, but now my old garage is down I can easily get a digger through so it could be fun :)

Iain, let me know how you get on
