HI ALL,

Just bought a metro turbo engine, stripped it all down and all seems ok, however there is slight play when i reach in and push on the turbo fan or compressor, (RH side of turbo when looking from front of engine) The play is not excessive but should there be any at all? Will it smoke with slight play? As it is gong into a mini I want it to be all sorted before fitting!! Who is a good turbo rebuilder? I am in south East kent.

it should be ok if its slight up and down movement but if its in and out it will cream crackered, but just try it and see

refer to the haynes manual of the....... metro

this will give you the correct spec

I live near Canterbury mate, would you be able to tell if its knackered? Its just I dont want to fit it and find it is dead!!!

Take it there is not much room to get it out once fitted in a mini.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

not a major job to take it off once its been installed at all really. id say probably an hour to take it off and put it back on without rushing.
