Guys,

I know that this should really be posted in the wanted/ for sale section, but I figured that more people would view it in general chat!
I’m hunting a Shorrock supercharger as used on mini’s in the 60’s for my Mk1.
http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/shorrock_intro.htm
I know that they do pop up on ebay from time to time, but I never seem to win them!
I’d rather find one with pullies and manifolds, but a unit on its own would be ok.
If any one has one, or knows somebody who has, please PM me.
Also, any body use(d) one? And anyone know who can recondition them?

Cheers chaps,

Choppo
*wink*

bad guy: What's the easy way?
Hannibal: That WAS the easy way.

Ask Mark Forster of that pake you've already linked to. He's told me everything I need to know about mine.

I don't know a great deal on the subject, but I thought that the lads the use the shorrocks generally do so for classic racing etc, where they have to use "period" modifications to fit into the series etc.
I'd be tempted to use a more modern unit, just as they are a lot cheaper to source, and less likely to be worn out or damaged.

total loss oil system

bad effiency

expensive

need I go on?!

I know they are period but they are hardly a good design. You'll get to maybe 7psi but you'll have so little to show for that in terms of power.

speak to Lance at Green and White minis, i can pm u the number if needed he is using Eaton charges from Bmw minis on BL minis with massive success, he has to get some pulleys machined but believe me the peformance is awesome cheaper than shorrock...and more efficient !

I'm fitting it as it was a viable option in the 60ies. I don't care at all about the efficiency and hp, mostly curiosity *wink*
Some get it, some don't...
