I'm connected to a supposed 3MB service, but it don't feel that quick to be honest...
So before i go ranting and raving, is there a reliable way to check?

I had a similar query recently Dave, I have just moved over to Broadband at home from dial up. Surfing is loads quicker but to be honest downloading I was a bit disappointed with. I was supposed to have 2MB broadband. After running this test, and finding it was indeed slow, I phoned Blueyonder to moan, and was told in fact I had 512Kb broadband, as the servers in my area did not support 2Mb yet............

Anyway, the web address is

http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp

Thanks to Neil8p who told me about it.

Download speed is 30.5 Mbps Upload is 603 kbps. I've got E3 which should be bt 34 mb each way, The website is getting hit that much, looks like I've just opened a can of worms. I now have a day of looking at log files.
