hmm, i've never thought about the turbo head being leaded, i'm sure my engine is one of the early ones as it has the mk1 dizzy, but ive been running it on unleadded optimax, i guess there is no way of telling of it has been converted without the head coming off?! how long do u think it would take to burn the valves out A-series power! 1972|1310|T3 turbo|Omega pistons|Cantre main strap|Orange clutch diaphragm|AP race plate|Comp pressure plate|Lightened steel flywheel|13-row oil cooler|Vernier duplex timing gear|Phase 2 Piper cam|Green air filter|Hi boost carb needle/spring|2"Stainless exhaust|3"Play mini stainless rear box|Jack Knight s/c 4spd gearbox|Jack Knight s/c drop gears|Silicon coolant hoses|Lumenition HT leads|GAZ lowered height shocks all round|Steel flip-front|Rear safety devices cage|Group 5 arches|6x12 deep dish Minilites|Surf blue/Old english white| |

if your not sure about your head being unleaded id presume it is leaded and as for how long it will last running on unleaded its hard to say coz you cant tell if the previous owner used unleaded in it id use lead additive if i was you unless your planning on a new head in the near future ne way no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i wont be getting a new head for a while, not until i save up for one, i could ask the guy who i bought it off, as he took the engine out of the car, hmm..
