Just a quick question about turbo exhaust.

Is the most efficient bore exhaust for a turbo 2 inches (ooo er mrs) or is that just because a lot of turbo mini owners like a nice fat tail pipe ? (Good job this is on a mini forum)

Or is the 1.75 inch bore still king for the turbo motor as well as a naturaly aspirated a series ?

I need to know mainly due to the fact that the car is ment to go as quick as possible not look pritty as its for track day use only.

Cheers for the advice

less back pressure is a goodd thing...

you can't go too big on a mini turbo.

The pipe diameter isn't the governing factor unless your going to be running an open pipe, I would look very carefully at the silencer construction because this is where 90% of your exhaust restrictions (Back Pressure) happen.

I'm currently running a P&L stainless 2" system and it's very free flowing.

Karl.
