ive got a new rebuilt engine with a kent cam in a ported n polished head a 5gt turbo intercooler and a -31 acuator running about 15psi wot power does any1 reckon it will be. also my mechanicking mate says. if i have the pistons skimmed ill get more from the engine without having to run as much boost. is this true

I reckon 140 to 160 banans easy.
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

no way i was expecting bout 110bhp very tops. even more inspired to get my finger out now. i think ill have the pistons done for an extra 50 quid. mite be able to run a bit more boost through it. also ive seen for sale hi boost carb needles. and hi boost carb springs. i guess i need them so is the gearbox going go boom after a short time.

Don't bother with the high boost needle, but the spring is worth having.

Skimmed pistons equals crappy combustion. Less CR but the ability to run high boost remain the same. Loose-loose situation. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

so u wudnt bother ive heard from so many people its a top mod to do. i know a lad with a 5gt turbo thats bout 275 bhp wud u not reckomend it

i wouldnt recommend it at all. better to go for bigger chambers or bigger dished pistons to run more boost |

yeah well more than 110bananas lol, i got 111 out of my standard engine with 9psi and a higher boost spring/needle. Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt
