Depends if you get the log book with it

I got a cat c metro with no logbook.Had to fill in a vic1 form, then take car up to the vosa test centre then I got a logbook(that cost about £40)

Great

Of to get insurance,''Yes sir cat c writeoff er hang on a minute''rings round 6 places they won't touch it

Finally get offered insurance at about 3 times the cost and they want an engineers report aswell

yes the guy had the log book, filled in my details as normal, the damage is hardly noticeable, small dent to the N/S front wing and front panel..

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

when i bought my car i had a friend that handily worked in a garage, he ran a hpi check on it which showed it had been written off several years previously. ive never had a problem with insurance, not that ive bothered declaring it

if youve got the log book id imagine its fine

Mine only had a small dent behind the rear bumper, still has.

Make sure you get the new style logbook in your name and see what it says in the box at the bottom of the front page

a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

you can put a write off back on the road, however when people like moi are behind you and we do a check on the PNC the car will come back as " V23 submitted" or "notified scrap" in which case you will be getting pulled left right and center cops checking if its ringed and of course if its road worthy

edit.... forgot to mention that you can apply for the v5, but it will show what category write off it has been, which will effect the value of the car (harder to sell too) if that bothers you.

cheers
