i dunno, i have pics of the guy's that i bought it from if you want, it looks exactly the same as mine but with shiney bits and a 850 engine LOL!!

i love them!

Im letting him keep the front subframe because they are worth a bit and i wont need it, i dont have glass but going to get some perspex cut to shape anyway

That is one solid looking shell. Floorpans are irrelevant IMO. They are easilly replaced, and usually shot after 10 years no matter what.

I'd advise X bracing the door frames, and cutting out the whole inner and outer sills as one, then fitting the Mini-Machine replacement inner/outer sill assembly.
Not particually cheap parts, but you got the shell for peanuts, so nothing lost there.
You need it 100% solid afterall for what your planning.

Yep, but nothing will be damaged on the shell. No bulkhead mods etc, nothing that cant be returned to standard.

Going for a stealth look i think

You can get different diff ratio's for them now Pete...

IMO, the problem with these Vtec minis is the k-series metro based subframe. If you built one using the Allspeed kit, that allows an infinate range of suspension movement, such that you can make it put the power to the ground, these Vtecs would be running much better times...
Allspeed will also allow for 10's - as it's mini hub based.

He's already commited to a subframe anyway - yep, a k-series bastardisation unit!

its ok i can sell the subframe, i got it cheap anyway i can just stick it in minimag for sale. I paid £650 with all the hubs an bottom arms etc already on it.

I am really glad ive got your opinion because its the 2nd bad opinion ive heard from a non biast person (someone that doesnt own one).

I was thinking that even if i did build it up i could do it for cheap and sell it if it did look horrendous, but still have the experience of doing it i was kind of looking forward to it, but ive really fallen in love with my mk1 shell now more than i did my last mini and i want to make it how i want!
