HAVE 1380 AND WANT TO TURBO IT WOULD YOU GUYS SAY T2 , GT15 OR GT20? ONE RESPONSE WAS GT15 TO SMALL.

it would be appreciated if you could type in lower case as is this is the etiquette on this forum.

imho.
a T2 would be my first choice followed by a T3 close second.

you are not alone t3tone, jukka and myself have all have 1380 turbo's.

we all run t3,s but not saying any other will be better or worse but just remember more cc,s you need more flow.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

what would a 1380 with a t3 do hp and at what psi boost? what about with a t2?

i can get a gt20? but would it go on mirages manifold?

Pretty sure Jukka wanted a T2 but not sure if he's running one yet or not? I run a T3 and recently ran 13psi and got 177 bannanas (our term for bhp) @flywheel.

and i got 140 bannanas on 10 psi on the same day with a standard head plus intercooler

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

yes he is a jammy scrot , i will be inspecting his parts in the winter to have a good look around and see what i can find out lol.

his was a genuine power fig as i was there on the same day with loads of other minis.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Me, only 140+ hp at 15 psi. Actually I am not running anything except my Minor. I sold my T3 package last winter and plan to fit a smaller Mitsubishi turbo (equivalent to a T2). Looks like I also have to fix an unleaded head with exhaust inserts because the current head had some danage to the ex seats. So maybe I´ll settle with higher CR and lower boost this time. You know, I am hitting 40 in December and old people like me drive like ... old farts *smiley* No need for big hp anymore. I´m more comfortable with my lazy old Minor (need to replace that tired 3,5 litre engine with a less tired 4,6 litre engine currently on the engine stand...) Besides, my mini has been away for a respray for over a year now...

im running a 1380 with a t3 too, seems to make good power and the lag isn't as bad as the old 1275, running near standard CR with about 8 - 9psi

I have never noticed any lagg with a T3 but that was a long time ago and i may have forgotten it must not be that bad as i would remember (cant be as bad as the Mitsubishi evo )
