Doesn't look like the 'biscuit brown' pukka exhaust manifold gasket though?

Does everyone use the bog standard "bog bore" gasket or the "metal ringed turbo" gasket? just curious, ones £2ish and the other £6ish each.
Just sorting an order for misc parts for my engine to get it running before crimbo

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

I've always used these all metal jobbies, and never had one blow. You can get a crappy one thats just a standard gasket with a metal covering on one side, but they're shite.
The last Mini show i went to there was a guy selling the proper ones for £2 each, me and Mike bought all he had between us. lol.

Not totally true AF!
http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=37144
Is the Pukka turbo one - GUG704063MG

http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=38056
Is the 'injection' gasket - GUG704053MG

I suspect you got that information from MGRover? I couldn't understand it either, but they started supplying me these for a while, informing me that the 704063 was obselete and the 704053 was the replacement. I later found out that this statement was (for some reason) showing on the Parts database, but you could still purchase the 704063!

All very strange!

This could be an interesting race, to see who can get theirs running first, you or me!

Probably be the only race my Mini will win!

Yeah - that works fine, until you don't realise your mistake until after you've hit the 'post' button and wonder where your new post is, before a highly stupid feeling comes all over you as you look a few posts up and see you've edited someone else's post.
*laughing*
