Newby Mini Turbo owner here, and I've got gas vapors inside while driving. It's a 1961 and I don't believe it has a vent on the tank. The cap is vented. It returns unused gas to the tank and creates the vapor, and it seems it's too much for the cap to dispurse...any idea's? Dan Edited by Nicky on 22nd Nov, 2005. |

Re. the petrol smell, your vent clearly isn't connected. At the top of the tank, facing the centre of the boot (trunk) is [or should be] a small pipe. Connected to this should be a hose, which runs down the front of the tank and out under the boot floor. I suspect this pipe is open.
