Cracked turbo, HELP!!!

Hay,
There is a small crack in my T3 turbo.
It's hard to explain where it is.
In the exhaust side under the little round disc shaped thing thats controlled by the actuator.It starts from the hole that is covered up by the part i just explained and is about 15mm long.
Is this a major problem?
Will i need to replace the part thats cracked?

If it where I think it is you should be ok as they crack there any way, (As i questioned TD about this matter once)

Thats called a wastegate crack... its fairly common, more so on T2s than T3s.

You loose boost control, as the waste gate will permantly have a leak, but its not alot so should remain usable.

post a picture so we can see the size of the crack, Mini has a crack like this, but it's nothing to worry about

Mine has had crack in the turbine housing ever since I bought the turbo s/h back in 1995. I suppose the cracks are still there Stuart Gurr told me that almost every housing is cracked and in most cases don?t need attention. After 50000 kms the turbo is still running. I wonder how good it would be if it was rebuilt...
