a quicky for the more technical of us. ive been reading about the combustion ratios on here and how to work them out etc and its all way over my head.i bought a reconed turbo block second hand(all like new and never even been fitted) i dont know what cc it is but it has got 40 thou pistons in. everthing else is standard in cluding head so my question is does ne1 have any clue roughly what cc it is and will my combustion ratio be higher or lower or the same as normal (i was wondering if i could run a little more boost u c) the engines all built up, in and running so i cant measure stroke etc

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

the formular is simple...

cylinder swept volume + combustion chamber vol
CR = ------------------------------------------------------------
cylinder volume

cylinder volume - is simply the volume of air the piston moves.. bore x stoke

combustion chamber vol is the volume in the head + the gasket, ring land and deck height volumes.

Well it would seem you have a 1310cc engine and if it's got the std head you should have around 9.4:1 Comp with 8cc dish pistons...

Karl.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
