I'm looking at buying a stand for when I remove my engine. I though I might as well as they're not very expensive and it saves me putting it on the floor or whatever and I can move it around.
Any advise on what to look for on a stand, what sort of weight capacity for example?

i just went to the local supercheap auto shop n baught a stand, think it cost about $75 and did an awsome job, once u mount'd the engine you could rotate it 360' in one direction, adjustable height so you could raise or lower the height of the engine, it was also on wheels so u could push it around

I just bought one at a local discount tool store (Harbor Freight Tools). I bought the 750lb. model, since you're not hanging even half that weight off the thing.

And yes, if you want all four arms attached, you'll need to make an adapter. But I did mine with three arms attached, no problemo.

Any reasons not to use it with just three arms? and if there are what sort of bracket needs to be made up?
