when i boost the engine holds at about 2500 rpm and a cyclic poping noise comes from the exhaust. there is also oil siting in the ambient air inlet, i dont know if thats normal? Edited by dan on 27th Nov, 2005. |

More info needed. Is this a developing problem? Or have you just put it together and it has never run correctly?

hey, yeh it is a developing problem it was running mint as until i replaced the oil outlet hose which was split, the replacment hose is smaller in diameter. the engine is 1600cc DOHC 16v FWD with an IHI VJ9 turbo. The fuel Pump is the factory in-tank with 3/8" fuel lines, All standard to the engine. |

No idea then, you may have missed the obvious clues, but this is a site for turbocharged MINIS.
