Fearless Tom Fenton, Avon Park 2007 & 2008 class D winner

TM legend.

Rotherham South Yorkshire

At work ATM, as some of you know, I work at a large steelworks.

Had a call from the production shift manager, some scrotes had come onto plant, and attempted to break into our alloy stores. As a producer of high alloy engineering and forging steels, we commonly use alloy additions, up to values around 20k/tonne, so that is what these fcukers were after.

After being rumbled, they had legged it onto our scrapyard, imagine one of the most desolate horrible unforgiving places you can, and you're not far off.

Police attended, and after some searching, found 2 of them hiding. I did my best to help by driving round in the works van looking for any movement. I had a pair of 24" stilsons with me just in case.

Returned to where the captured cnuts were, and they are giving the coppers verbal as they are cold, and want to know when a van is coming to take them to the police station!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe their cheek! All I can say is that its a good job none of our production lads caught them.....

Luckily this time they didn't get away with owt, its not the first time the stores have been raided though, only recently they ram raided it......

Little gits eh!

We had some 'fittings' go missing from Eaton Manchester a few years ago. Fittings is actually a mild description for the super-expensive alloyed frames that gears and shafts are suspended on when they go into the furnaces at super-high temperatures...
Interestingly, these were put 'outside' a week earlier as there was work going on where they were normally stored - and to anyone of us (me included) just looked like cast iron framework - worth naff all.
Someone knew better! Over 200K's worth of kit was spirited away in just a few minutes whilst one securty guard was on his rounds, and the other was taking a leak!

Insider job?
Never caught anyone though!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

SImilar thing happened to us although it was an inside job.

We also use a lot of the so called super alloys, nimonics etc.

Somebody had been taking a block out in their lunch box every day!! Due to the fact the stuff is quite rare and comes with a material code on when they took it to the metal merchants they got a bit suss.
Basically they rang the supplier which they figured out from the numbers, who then rang us!
Suprisingly they got sacked!! Ha ha!
Quite a clever plan though i must admit but fately flawed!

Melton Mowbray, Pie Country

We had a simmilar thing when I worked at British Steel. Some pikey tried to cut through a large cable to take it home. Unfortunately for him it was live (I seem to remember 6.6Kv) Anyway when they found the fault in the cable they also found a chared hacksaw. A bloke was found in hospital with matching injuries, nothing was ever proved though. I guess having survived a 6.6Kv jolt giving him the chair would have been no good.
