i changed mine about 6 months ago , its very easy to do, just take the drive shaft out , and the seal will pop out with a screw driver, i got my seal from minisport and they seem good quality , the haynes manual shows that you have to remove a cover on the gearbox, but theres no point in doing this ,
like i said i did mine 6 months ago and i've done 5k miles since !
and no leaks, not even a drop!

oh i forgot to mention if you got oil every where under there, you might have a leak on the gear selector ,
thats easy to change you can get a kit at minispares for about ?6
you just pop a pin out on the selector rod and pull the old seal out with a screw driver being carefull not to damage the smooth surface of the gearbox
