been looking at different options for my car recently and cant make up my mind whether to go the flip front route, have read other posts and their are very mixed opinions, one of the main things i wanna know is who uses a flip front with inner wings or do these not exist, surely you get loads of crap thrown into your engine bay without them? oh also whats the best way to disconnect lights etc any pics greatly appreciated, cheers |

you hit the nail on the head gav, crap gets thrown up all over the place, I only have to go down the road in the wet and everythings covered in mud etc.

all my lights are connected up via a trailer plug for when you take the front end off totally. If you go the flip route i seriously recommend a 2 piece, its a right pain in the cock having to flip the whole thing to check oil/water etc.

ive not got a flip front but i always thought of the idea of using trailer mudgards under wings to stop muck being thrown everywhere. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

A mate of mine had a flip front, we fitted plastic shields roughly where the inner wings would have been, improved matters no end.
