Has anyone tried and tested one?? Im thinking of making one up, not to hopefully feel a performance gain but just to drop my intake charge temps a bit for safety on 1/4 runs etc.

If your inlet temps are under 40 degrees, you'll see little benefit. All it'll do is maybe take out some of the heat soaked into the intercooler whilst static.
However, if the marshalls see you use anything like this before, on, or just after the start, it'll be the last time you use it at that track!

We tried it on the TT. It was difficult to get a spray onto it at speed and we noticed no improvement in 1/4 mile times. You may see a benifit in very hot weather I suppose.

Also, If your intercooler is sat in front of a dizzy, make it water proof or get rid of it.

Cheers people, some good points there. On a hot day at the end of a 1/4 mile run my intake temps are about 47-48deg running 12psi. Will be moving the air filter so its positioned just behind my front valance (clubman) hopefully this may help a bit too!!
