What would be a good clutch upgrad over standard? What is a orange and grey cluch? is it worth lightening the flywheel whilst it is off?

cheers

What sort or power are you after??

The orange and grey are the types of diaphram, i think because of the torque of a turno lump a grey is a good option along with an ap fast road/ rally plate. Lightening the flywheel will help acceleration, not sure how far you can go safely with the cast iron flywheel though?

I want about 130-140 bhp. I was thinking of replacing the fly wheel with a 998cc fly whell and then have it lightened further. I think by changing from a 1275 to a 998 will save 8lb's

If in Doubt, go flat out !!!

The metro turbo uses a 'non sprung' centre, as does all pre-verto stuff. Yes - they are the same.

i think its a verto because it has the short stumpy clutch leaver on the bell housing. could you correct me on this if im wrong and will the grey diaphram and ap racing clutch fit.

yes its verto then, i run a ap race rally too with a grey cover diaphram and once i set the back plate to the flywheel its been sweet.
if you lighten it heaps you will loos e a little bit of torque but gain engien rpm acceleration, i have gone back to a std non verto flywheel this engine build cause i want as much torque as i can get.
