I,ve read some good things about these over the last few weeks

http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/

I know the webshite is a bit Americanized and cheezy, but the product is a pretty good idea IMO. Especially for those who use road cars on track days and don,t want the inconvenience of a harness. It does seem too good (and simple) to be as good as it claims, but almost every report about them starts by saying how can it possibly be that good, then raves about how good it in fact is.

I,m going to get one for my Subaru, as the leather is a bit slidey even driving on the road.

p.s. this is what the Minifinity lot thought of it:

I can see how that would work. Something I do when being driven quickly as a passenger in a car with standard three point belts is to pull upwards on the diagonal section with my hand to tension the lap section to hold myself in better, this gizmo seems to be doing just that for you.

The only thing I would be wary of is the scenario of using it in cars equipped with seat belt pre-tensioners in the event of an accident.

SO, the only thing it does, is to fasten the buckle to the harness, not letting it slide around? There are thousands of different car harness locks though..

As I said the website is a bit bulshitty.

I can see no one else is as enthused about this product as I am.

I'll tell you all if it's as good as they say when I get mine.

I can really see the benefits if no one else can. Having driven cars fastt with and without harnesses, it is amazing how much more feel and confidence you have when strapped in.

I can certainly see the potential benefits from that device.

I won't be buying one I have to admit, but I can see how it would work and be useful.

And it's fantastic. Fitted it to the Subaru on Christmas day and went for a drive.

Even just round roundabouts you can feel more what the car is doing. And not havinbg to use the steering wheel to brace yourself and streer makes a big differance.

A must if you have a normal seatbelt and plan to do trackdays IMO.
