The head is 21.4cc, don't know about the pistons though, 6 or 7cc at a guess, someone will know.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

The standard Turbo pistons have a 12.5cc dish. I have measured two sets both from standard engines, and they were both this size. I was a little suprised at this so i measured my mates pistons as well and they're the same.

Thanks for the info guys, i supose i'm using this for stuff you guys have known for ages (I like to understand stuff). Using those fiqures i get a CR of 9.46:1. This sounds about right for a standard metty turbo, doesn't it?? |

So if i increase chamber volume to 27cc (is this practical) then that should lower to CR to around 8.5:1. Is this a good CR to run higher boost |

Don't forget to take into account the ring land, and piston flush height...

Turbodave, took piston flush hieght (don't know what ring land is) also took the thickness of head gasket into account, used a web page that i picked up of Minifinity.com . It's http://www.wheelspin.net/calc/calc2.html Edited by Dicanio on 19th Feb, 2004. |
