g'day, maybe this should be in the 998 section but i'll give it a go here first, i'v got a 998turbo engine on the way and i'm planing on running all new breaklines and fuel lines, i'v already got the break lines and i was just wondering what size fuel lines to order (tank in boot to engine) i'v read the return line should be bigger but i dont know how big or if it differs between 998's and 1275's, any info appreciated. (been working 15-16 hours latley so might not reply for a while)

The metro used a 1/4" feed, 5/16" return. This would probably be fine for your application.

Alternatively you can run 5/16" pipe for feed and return, but include a restrictor on the entry to the regulator on the feed line.

Some people run larger but this probably isn't needed for your 998.

I am personally using 8mm feed and return, with a restrictor.

I ran 5/16(8mm) feed and 1/4(6mm) return!!

Worked fine.

Will be running 5/16 (8mm) feed and return on new motor.

The fact that at full chat out car does about 3mpg indicates that it does need fuel lines of the same order as a 1300.....

ok, thanks, i think i'll go for the 6mm feed with the 8mm return but just out of curiosity, what is the advantage of using 8mm feed if you have to restrict it, wouldnt the 6mm do the job easier? (sorry if it's a stupid question)
