Has anybody got a MK 4 wiring diagram they could please email me? im trying to identify the earth fault on my brake lights.

Whats going to break next!?

what year is your car?
centre speedo or triple gauges?

whats wrong with the brakes lights?

A reg '83 had triple gauges.
The problem is an earth fault on the green/pink wire from lights to the brake pedal sensor which causes the fuse to blow.
This has only occured after an engine swap so i'm not sure if have inadvertently damaged a part of the loom.
The 12V supply to the brake light sensor is a green/pink wire at the sensor yet at the fuse box there are two green wires in one connector?

They used to work fine so no doubt its something i have done just wanted the diagram so i can see what i was looking at.

haynes manual got soaked, i had a general idea of the wiring as i have diagrams for other model minis just wanted a copy of the mk4 diagram to be sure

if you are looking for the fault take out the brake light bulbs and and pull the two wires off the switch at the pedal put a 21w bulb on the two wires the green wire is from the fuse and the green/purple goes to the lamp it will light up if the green/purple is going to earth when the lamp goes out fault found this will safe the box of fuses good luck
