I have done some searching and I have turned nothing up on what crank people are using. What crank would you guys recommend for a 1275 with 10 psi boost.? I have been told that the stock crank would work, is this correct?

Edit- does Omega make a 1275 15cc dish? I have looked around and all I have found is Omega 10cc Cast. Would these cast pistons work in a 10psi turbo engine, or would the cr be too high for a fast road car?
Thanks in advance.

WCTM,

The standard A+ crank is CAM6232; the (superior) metro turbo crank is CAM6581.

The stock crank will be fine - no harm in getting it magnaflux'd however ($40-50max at any decent engine machining shop) to check for any cracks.

Omega makes 10cc cast, and 15cc forged.
Do yourself a favour though; as you live in the USA it makes sense to buy JE pistons - direct from JE themselves. They make a wild 18cc dish forged +20 for a good price!
Use these, along with a smaller and superior chamber volume for maximum squish and you've got a belting motor!

Thanks Dave, does the 18cc +20 mean I will have to have a 1293 or could I still have a 1275. This seems like a dumb question but I had to ask.*blush*

I went to JEpistons.com and couldn't find Austin or Mini pistons. Where should I look?
