any one ,looked into this, eg if any one does it after you have rebuilt the turbo cheers "Can I legally marry people now that I am ordained in the Church of the SubGenius?" aka i know jack sh"t

One thing is for sure; if you don't do it - it's likely you'll regret it.

as Turbodave says i marked the shaft when i did my bearings and its run fine for a year now has seen 12psi constant since rebuild, after phoneing around i found they balance the shaft out of the housing and mark it then put it back (no different to u marking it and puting it back as you found it unless its seen damage) Edited by turboestate on 24th Dec, 2005. love that straight cut scream!!!

I have used 4 rebuilt turbos over the years and didnt mark the turbo before striping, and all did plenty miles with no problems maybe I was lucky.

not that i have experienced this first hand, but i would personally get it ballanced, the speed that shaft must rotate must be astronomical, if it was not right, it could happily dissmantle ya bearings for you thats for sure
