OT - recording streaming music? WMP?

Say I wanted to record music streaming from an internet location - eg radio 1, DI.FM, etc...

How do i do this? I understand that WMP v9 can do this (or so i keep being told) but i've no idea how???

Any chance someone can direct an idiot in the above?

i've been wanting to record from di.fm for a while so i can listen in the garage but i have no idea how.

I go start -acceserys-entertainment-then use sound recorder,or sound le ?

This make a rather large file you can put on cd

Dave if you use WinAmp then this little program is the best i've found and even gets the title and artist info for you..

I did chek the first link a fewdays after you posted but it was dead - and still seems tobe dead. Thought i'd try it again - but forgot with one thing and another...

Inidentally, I've no idea what shoutcast or winamp is... :(

still trying to get it to work though. i usually use iTunes to listen. tried entering the URL of the station but it wont have it :(

windows movie player 9 will record but only certain tracks,cant find my old program,so using this now it records what your soundcard heres at 96kbs in mp3 format but think it does wav to
