whats your thermostat set at do you know? ive just got a 13 row i think, might be 10, put in without a stat at the moment, its amazing how much it cools the oil, hold the inlet and its hot, hold the outlet pipe and its alot cooler. probably coz mine is right behind the grille, no obstructions A-series power! 1972|1310|T3 turbo|Omega pistons|Cantre main strap|Orange clutch diaphragm|AP race plate|Comp pressure plate|Lightened steel flywheel|13-row oil cooler|Vernier duplex timing gear|Phase 2 Piper cam|Green air filter|Hi boost carb needle/spring|2"Stainless exhaust|3"Play mini stainless rear box|Jack Knight s/c 4spd gearbox|Jack Knight s/c drop gears|Silicon coolant hoses|Lumenition HT leads|GAZ lowered height shocks all round|Steel flip-front|Rear safety devices cage|Group 5 arches|6x12 deep dish Minilites|Surf blue/Old english white

I think its 74 degrees, which isn't reallt hot enough but it's better than nothing, won't make any difference on the cooling at low engine speeds as it bearly makes 70 degrees.

ive got an oil temp gauge ready to go in, just need to get some sort of adaptor made up for the sender unit. when i put it in over the next few weeks i'll run the car with and without the cooler and see what kind of difference it makes and let you know A-series power! 1972|1310|T3 turbo|Omega pistons|Cantre main strap|Orange clutch diaphragm|AP race plate|Comp pressure plate|Lightened steel flywheel|13-row oil cooler|Vernier duplex timing gear|Phase 2 Piper cam|Green air filter|Hi boost carb needle/spring|2"Stainless exhaust|3"Play mini stainless rear box|Jack Knight s/c 4spd gearbox|Jack Knight s/c drop gears|Silicon coolant hoses|Lumenition HT leads|GAZ lowered height shocks all round|Steel flip-front|Rear safety devices cage|Group 5 arches|6x12 deep dish Minilites|Surf blue/Old english white

Went for a drive with the new cooler, well after a long hard run with lots of boost the oil got to 80 degrees only. so at least i can now drive it hard for miles and miles now with out the odd short oil cool slow down breaks.

really want to get my oil temp gauge in to see what effect my cooler has, dependant on that i will get a thermostat, although they sound like a good idea. and 80deg sounds very safe A-series power! 1972|1310|T3 turbo|Omega pistons|Cantre main strap|Orange clutch diaphragm|AP race plate|Comp pressure plate|Lightened steel flywheel|13-row oil cooler|Vernier duplex timing gear|Phase 2 Piper cam|Green air filter|Hi boost carb needle/spring|2"Stainless exhaust|3"Play mini stainless rear box|Jack Knight s/c 4spd gearbox|Jack Knight s/c drop gears|Silicon coolant hoses|Lumenition HT leads|GAZ lowered height shocks all round|Steel flip-front|Rear safety devices cage|Group 5 arches|6x12 deep dish Minilites|Surf blue/Old english white

yes mate it's very safe, if any thing it might be a shade to cool, but we all change our oils regularly i guess so it shouldn't matter. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
