Interesting interpretation, i would assume to give some kind of tuned primary lengths? Although i would guess that with a turbo primary lengths are not a whole lot important!? |

I don't see the point. Tuned primaries are used to give the reflection shock wave "extractor" effect at a certain engine speed in a NA engine. But with a turbo engine, you have boost pressure to extract more power from the engine, so tuned lengths becomes pretty ineffectual.

equal length manifold primaries are good on a proper 4 pot, but i dont see the idea on a siamese port engine... |

It's to do with pulses - ands the length of them in a turbo... Picture - if you had (for example) 12" in the outer 'a', and 2" in the inner 'b' and 12" in outer 'c'.

How much of a difference? I don't know. But i do know that i'm going to go equal length on my runners - because it is bound to be better. 10% better or 0.00000010% better? I don't know! would the advantage be lost as the flow is reduced because of the sharp corner into the turbo? 1152cc turboed mini clubman, most powerful 1.1L a-series?

I think you'll find it's for mock up only and the real deal is coming later. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. |

03-01-2005 - To keep noise down for my neighbors I placed the workbench on rubbers. On the floor I used the Mini rubber balls, as used in the suspension, and on the wall I used Mini engine mounts.

clearly alot of thought time and expense has been poured into this one, the custom exhaust alone must have taken ages, a true genius, i hope it turns out well and gives him all he expects from it, but i reckon it will, and some .....
