i think i have broken my turbo is it surpost to be smoking from the bonnet an the exhast with white smoke.its ok if im going along but it when i stop it starts to pour out of the car.can any one help please |

white smoke is usually water, or brake fluid if you're running a servo?

im not very mecanicly minded so i dont realy no the smokes cuming from nearest the car so near the turbo.and i think its oiled ran.ive bin told that its the turbo because when i stop the turbo is using the oil and burnig the oil of so it giveing of the white smoke |

have you done any work on the car lately?? rocker cover OFF and stuff like that? Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. |

no havent done any think like that in not allowed see ive bin told not to touch my car coz moost of the time when i do i usally f**k it up if you no what i mean |

firstly before starting the motor, check the oil dipstick at the front of the engine, is the oil grey and milky ? if so head gasket is gone.... second check the water is there an oil slick in the header tank ? again this points to headgasket. as for turbo my mates old chav wagon cossie when his turbo went he could be driving down the road fast, and when he eased off there would be a ploom of (blue/grey) smoke, which was his turbo bearing........get a mate to sit in the car while you look inside see if anything is running onto the manifolds etc...
