Just doing a quick calculation on my mini and ive worked out that i've nearly spent 5K on it..........

this is a good post and brings home the fact that the classic little cheap car isnt too cheap when u want biger power, reliability and drivability.

I've definately spent over £20k in the ten (nearly) years i've had and developed my mini. That includes the Weber Alpha (£1200) DTA system (£700) and at least 15 different RR tuning sessions and countless rebuilds in pursuit of 'development'...

i've had my car now coming up to 15 years!!! so think of that for money spent on it :o Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

really wouldnt like to know to be honest, i tell myself its about 2-3k, could be true, could be way way off....... and its still a looong way from being finished, but i do have most of the parts i need now.... been on the road for three years n/a, is now in the garage being turbo'd And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |
