i got a wallnut dash it come from a 92 mini cooper and ive put it in a 78 mini clubman but the dash is to big for the hole in the car so i moved the top up and the wallnut fitted in but the air vents are to short has any one come a cross this problem

these always look and seem as if they wont fit at first! i've done 3 to date and they were all the same, just keep tightening up those wing nuts and it will pull it into place! as for the air vents try using a short piece of flexi tube to bridge the gap...

it took 12 cups of tea and half a pack of paracetamol and the dash was in but its the vents are to short ive looked in breakers and e bay with no luck so if it comes to it i will bridge the air vent

Yes you will find the eyeball venst don't mate up as the walnut dash mounts them closer towards the driver and passenger than as normal. The easy way is to bridge the gaps with a short length of duct/hose, something like that expandable silver foil stuff used for ducting warm air to air filters will do the trick just fine and is available cheaply from most motor shops in different sizes to suit.

I found this too, but i took the simple way out and removed the air vents and put some small speakers in there!! Windows are for letting air in!!
