Ok the grand unveiling...

Along with the help of Morspeed i am glad to anounce my Mini will be partially BMW.

Having seen Simon's work on a previous 16v K1 BMW head conversion i thought "i'd like a slice of that".

With all the talk of 7 and 8 ports heads on this forum i am trying to be one pace ahead of everyone else with this project.

All the electroni injection and ignition trickery will be sorted by Simon's close friend the proprietor of QED, a respected engine tuner in Vauxhall circles for many years.

All the hard bits like cam drives, oil feeds, head to block matching are all done and developed so it is plain sailing.

It is just the turbo cam design that is going to be a bit of an experiment.

JF.

No is a thin flange S block......

Simon is speaking to a company called Simpson about the exhaust system, they do alot of bespoke cars systems. They have done jobs on mid engine grassers that he has had things to do with.

I'm not sure if this gives everyone in D class no chance or more of a chance. As it could concievably make less power (unlikely but still a chance)

But knowing Jon it'll get properly sorted and the floor will be well and truly wiped as usual.

Good luck.

From wot i have heard on Minifinity, Simon has managed to get about 180 bananas from a n/a 1380 with the K1100 head.

Unfortunately mine will be n/a to begin, then will work my way up to forced induction. But my whole project has only set me back £350 so far and quite a lot of my time!!!
