hello every one. i am new to this site i own the pearl blue turbo custom mini which i have just regained interest in.The car has had a fortune spent on it and for anyone who didnt read the feature properly the car has got 190-200bhp potential with the nos.At the time the boost was set to 12psi because i was running it in, but now i can run it to 21psi. So any disbelievers can now speak to me . I lost interest with the car due to family commetments and thats why it hasnt been seen at any shows or events. But this year the car is out with avengence, with a rolling road print out taped to the window. I didnt write the front cover when featured and never mentioned 250bhp. At the moment i am in the process of adding a supercharger and a few other mods. Pictures soon!

Welcome.

We all know 200hp is achievable.

And to Prove it, A genuine 200hp will always net a 106+ mph top speed on the 1/4 mile aswell in a standard aerodynamic'd mini (no roof chops or de-seams).

You'll be coming to The British Mini Showdown at Avon Park in July? *wink* This is where respect, honour and downright stardom is totally earnt!


I don't remember the car - but i do remember one that must've been from around that time that we did 'discuss' on here (don't think it was a covercar though) that claimed some strange power for the quoted boost figure.

Phil, Myself and others have all been mis-quoted and basically had the truth stretched by the time our cars had made it into print -so we know what the mag's are like... :)

I forgot to mention that one!
I'm sure you understand how Rolling Roads vary, and different peeps claim different things; well to get round the power 'claims' peeps just refer to BHP as 'bananas' and torque as (i think) Curly Wurly's...
It's just a bit of fun - and a bit of a 'get out clause' if anyone's claims are found to be a little 'optimistic' (not saying yours is - just making a point) *wink*

Of course it's completely up to you if you join in on the bananas and general banter*laughing*
