Our pistons have circlip fitment for the gudgeon pins. Having had a few of these fail in the past I'd like to replace them with some 'plastic buttons' for want of a better description.

I sopke to simon (Morspeed) so I now know what they should be like, but I forgot what material he suggested.

Is nylon suitable?

Any other advice would be nice. Or anyone with a set they might like to sell.

Cheers

Wil

I've used PTFE before. I think that is what some of the proprietory ones are made from.

Wil,

He said teflon. Just search PTFE Rod on Ebay and you will find plenty.

PTFE and teflon are the same,

PTFE's short for Polytetraflouroethelene and Teflon is the dupont(?) name for it.
