if it is for non road use, get some avon cut slicks, i think the greens or blues are soft.. the softer the better, once warm you will be sortid mate

I have used AO32R when on 10's, now I am on 13's I,ve opted for AO48R and I hav eused both types for drag, with great success! I think there great!!!!!!!The only other road legal tyre possibley worth trying maybe Avon AC10's (£90 each). I did see a chap on ebay selling used Avon AC10 tyres for £25 a set of 4. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c248/spe...er1/mini007.jpg

you could try thr hoosier 2super dirt stocker" a moulded tyre in super soft compound,as its a moulded tyre and not a cut slick some would argue you can use them on the public road as they are manufactured with the tread already there,

beware on using tires on the road that arnt 'E' marked, i have been told in good faith (not checked if im honest) that if they arnt certified its illegal to run on the road? I know the avons that hudderfield sell, cant rember the name, are fully road legal. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

as long as there is a tread pattern which has a minimum depth of 1.6mm accross 3/4 the band width of the tyre and as long as the tyre manufacturer does not state (not for highway use) you are ok Edited by Richie on 12th Jan, 2006.

i had the drago's in 175/50/13, could spin the wheels in 4th in the wet in non-greasy conditions, there shite. now useing dunlop sp9000's in 195/45/13 and i can get traction in second, full bore in the wet(non-greasy conditions, i.e. pissing rain) the difference really is night and day. highly recomended and a sniff under £60 from mytyres.co.uk

13s arent my thing tbh, but while reading classic ford, i noticed dunlop have just brought out some new sticky rubber for 13" rims.
