Evo 1. Stock low milage 998 with uncut 12G295 cooper 998 head, (28cc chambers), T3, no intercooler, megajolt ignition and benross magic elbow, maniflow 2" downpipe, lambda sensor bung + sensor, 10 psi actuator. Turbo verto clutch set up. High volume oil pump.

Evo 2. As above with Audi TDi intercooler and 14 psi.

Evo 3. As above plus ported 295 head and MG metro cam.

These will all be dynoed and the results published. So a stock 998 basically with just the parts changed that have to be to fit the turbo.

Second 998 build is underway.

Se7en spec 998 crank. Wedged, bladed.
Hillman imp pistons 71mm bore.
Custom cam grind.
Light rods, good rod bolts.
Ported 295.
T3.
Aiming for 150+ bhp.

There is a third small bore as well, 850 turbo.

MG metro cam.
998 block bored +60 thou with minispares mega pistons (998 cooper).
Se7en spec 850 crank. (936cc).
Lightened rods.
Garret GT15 turbo.
295 ported head. 8:1 CR.
Megasquirt EFI port injection.

Who knows what power I will get out of the 850? The RR will tell :)

I have had my 998 turbo dynoed and i am getting 155hp at 14psi of boost. This is with the water/meth injection running. I am currently running 8psi with the water/meth kicking in at 7psi

Caution !!!! Slippery when boosting

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

cripes with these 998's popping so much out and being 277cc down on the 1275 it makes me wonder if the extra 105cc's of the 1380 will make much difference

I am not using a T2 or T3 turbo. I am using an IHI RHB5 VI13 turbo of a 1600 Mazda 323. Also using the intercooler from this engine.
I will post the dyno sheet when I manage to find it in my mess.

I am using twin delortes 45. connected straight to the compressor side of the turbo. Therefore the turbo is compressing both fuel and air. Pics are up in the photo section under "Staggy's 996 Turbo"
