With the firewall having been removed from my car and a bulkhead box fitted my origional mounting points for the wiper motor are gone.

Its not too much troble to get something made up - however I was wondering if there are better wiper units availble - possibly aftermarket light weight units?

If anyone knows I'd appriciate it!*happy*

Thanks

Dan

A trick on the old rally cars was to move the motor inside the car. The tube that carries the rack can be bent to allow you to place the wiper motor wherever you desire!
However as you say, the standard items are usually quite poor, a trick that helps often is to make sure the wheelboxes are properly lubricated, as these can dry out and go stiff over time.

i used to use a fiat panda one on mine, it mounts snuggly under the scuttle...quite powerfull too, never stalled when tonnes of mud etc was thrown onto the screen...worth a look :) should also mention they are light, modern, cheap and petit !

Cheers MFT, Sounds like a plan - what fittings are on it for wipers, could I stick with the standard mini arms and blades?
