Providing the engine is well built, setup correctly and well maintained, a mildly tuned Turbo motor should last a long time. It's when poor build quality, incorrect setup or maintainance is neglected that problems arise.

thanks, i was definatley planning on a rebuild when i find a suitable engine,it will also get regular oil changes and servicing. i dont want to take any chances. i have just just heard a lot of horror stories about mg turbo engines being crap.

Yeah a nice realiable (provided its well maintained and built) 120bhp motor is easy enough. That will be rapid!
