Whilst pulling my metty turbo apart I noticed rubber tubes running down the rear quarter panels into the sills.
So I ripped the headlining out of a metty I scrapped today,and sure enougth they run from the sunroof drain.
So if the primery sunroof seal leaks a bit,the water drains from the trough oner the sunroof into the sills.

Cunning plan mr rover*surprised*

Very common on many cars actually.

I changed the electric sunroof mechanism on an old car of mine, forgot to push one of these pipes back on, hey presto the footwells all filled up with water until I removed the headlining to put it right...........
