Hi guys i'm hoping this will be a nice easy question for you.

I'm trying to sort my rev counter since I installed my megajolt v3, I run the standard offset dials setup, which I belive needs a 12v kickback pulse to work with the jolt.

I have tried the 3 diode trick on the mjlj site but it makes the car run like crap.

How do you guys get yours to work?

Cheers
Anton

I use an output on the EDIS connected directly to the white/black signal wire to the revcounter.

However, my revcounter is a bit erratic. works generally ok, but only works below 2000rpm whit the fan on?

My bros counter works fine with the same setup.

you can do what wil_h done use the output from the EDIS

first did you use 2x 1N4004 diodes and 1x 1N5352B zener diodes

the two 1N4004 diodes on the coil pack
then the zener diode be for the rev counter white/black wire

all diodes are direction so the current flows one way so make sure they are the right way round

good luck

you can drill the edis plug and get a signal from there

you need to drill out the EDIS plug and insert your Rev counter wire. the connection should be present in the EDIS unit but there wont be a hole in the plug for the wire to go through. Anton, kean and myself have all had to do it this way.

great will do that in the morning thanks alot :)

I have two spare edis plugs i think one of them has the rev counter wire on it, but i dont fancy cutting and soldering all the wires ive kept them all in tact as they were in the fiesta

The other option (if you are really struggling) is to get the rev counter re-calibrated to 2 cylinders and run it of on side of the coil pack.
